After facilitating a major ambulatory network plan for The University of Chicago Medical Center, Hammes was engaged to provide project management services and real estate consulting for a new ambulatory care center in Orland Park, Illinois. This project represented The University of Chicago Medicine's first significant ambulatory care project in the Chicago suburban market area.
As The University of Chicago Medicine extended its reach beyond its main campus into the Chicago suburban market for the first time at significant scale, the system needed a delivery partner that combined ambulatory network planning, project management, and real estate consulting under a single engagement.
The four-story ambulatory care center serves Orland Park's residents by providing primary and specialty care, diagnostic testing, imaging, medical radiation, and oncology with pharmacy space on the ground floor of the building. The fourth floor was shelled for future expansion. This project represented The University of Chicago Medicine's first significant ambulatory care project in the Chicago suburban market area.
