Endeavor Health Elmhurst Hospital

Background

Over the course of a multi-year relationship with Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare (now Endeavor Health), Hammes helped deliver several strategically important projects providing a full range of services including master planning, project management, financing/ownership, development, property management, and leasing.

Challenge

Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare needed a single delivery partner capable of supporting a complete campus transformation — from master planning the replacement hospital through development, ownership, property management, and leasing of related medical office and ambulatory assets.

Solution

Over the course of a multi-year relationship with Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare, Hammes helped deliver several strategically important projects, including a 188,000-SF Center for Health ambulatory care center; an 866,000-SF, 259-bed replacement hospital on a 50-acre greenfield site; an 84,000-SF on-campus medical office building development; and a 60,000-SF off-campus medical office building development.

Hammes developed both an on-campus and off-campus medical office building for which Hammes Realty Services provided property management and leasing. A key aspect of Hammes' work with Elmhurst was master planning their 866,000-SF replacement hospital. The outcome of this master plan helped lay the foundation for significant operational and process improvements across the entire health system for years to come.
