Children’s Wisconsin Kenosha Clinic

Background

Children's Wisconsin is one of the nation's top pediatric health systems. Children's Wisconsin engaged Hammes to develop a medical office building that would provide enhanced access to multiple pediatric specialties from a single, convenient location in Kenosha.

Challenge

Children's Wisconsin was seeking to consolidate four different clinical sites of care in the Kenosha market into a single, integrated and conveniently located site. The new site would need to allow for future expansion in order to respond to the needs of the growing population in Kenosha County.

Solution

Children's Wisconsin selected Hammes as its turnkey development partner for its new clinic. Hammes identified an ideal site location, easily visible from Interstate 94, and led the efforts to secure all necessary project approvals. During the planning phase of the project, Hammes worked with its design and construction partners to develop a solution that allows for either a one- or two-story addition in the future.

The clinic's layout provides greater efficiency for clinical staff while making transfer and movement between services easier for patients and families. The interior design and branding are catered to pediatric patients, creating a cheerful and comfortable environment. The clinic, which opened in 2019, provides multiple pediatric specialties and is the first urgent care in the area specifically focused on the needs of children.
