Patrick Hammes is the Chief Executive Officer of the Hammes platform.

He is responsible for strategic and operational oversight of the firm’s complementary suite of services spanning real estate consulting, development, investment, and management. He also serves as a Managing Principal and Investment Committee member of Hammes Partners.  

Prior to joining Hammes in 2012, Patrick was in the Business Services and Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Robert W. Baird & Co., where he led a wide range of financial advisory transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt offerings, valuation opinions, and private placements. Before Baird, Patrick was an attorney at the law firm Strasburger & Price (now Clark Hill) in Dallas, Texas, and previously clerked in the General Counsel's office of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in Washington, DC.

Patrick serves as a Board Member and Immediate Past Chair of the Board of Directors for Children's Wisconsin, the leading pediatric health system in Wisconsin and one of the top pediatric health systems in the country.  Patrick is the First Vice Chair for the Board of Trustees of The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, the largest single-city Boys & Girls Club organization in the United States.  Patrick is also a member of the Dean’s External Advisory Board for the Wisconsin School of Business, the Finance Council for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, and the Greater Milwaukee Committee (GMC).  

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Business Administration in corporate finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he was the recipient of the Wisconsin Distinguished Graduate Fellowship. He earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
