Hammes celebrates 27 years of leadership in Modern Healthcare’s annual Construction & Design Survey

MILWAUKEE, WI – June 18, 2025 – Hammes, a national real estate consulting, development, investment and management firm, has been recognized as one of the top two healthcare development firms in the nation for the 27th consecutive year, according to Modern Healthcare’s 2025 Construction & Design Survey.

Since first participating in 1998, Hammes has earned either the No. 1 or No. 2 position every year, claiming the top spot 21 times. The annual survey ranks firms based on the dollar volume of healthcare construction projects completed in the prior year, including new builds, renovations and expansions for both outpatient and inpatient projects.

This year’s Modern Healthcare report noted that while healthcare construction continues to grow, financial pressures are prompting providers to adopt more innovative, efficient development approaches.
